Infrastructure Layout

If not done correctly, an incorrectly configured infrastructure can lead to UUID spoofing.

UUID Spoofing is one of the most used methods to gain administrator privileges on vulnerable Minecraft networks.

In order to prevent UUID spoofing for a Minecraft network, a cheap, temporary fix can be put in place using BungeeGuard. This is a free plugin which can be placed in with proxy plugins to add a layer of safety.

However, there are better ways to combat these issues. The more thorough way to do this is having a secure infrastructure. This can be achieved by running one external access point (usually the proxy such as Velocity or BungeeCord) and then running other game servers through the internal networking.
